Jessica + Colin
On a wedding day, there are so many details, people, emotions…and don’t forget a rally outside your hotel in downtown DC! With so much going on, it’s easy to become a ball of nerves. But it’s amazing how one phrase or one moment can unravel those nerves and refocus everything.
For Jessica, when the priest described their love as “homey”, all the details melted away and she relaxed knowing this all was just about her and Colin… a love that is “homey” and “an intimacy that is true.”
They did have some spectacular details though, so let’s just take a moment to remember those!

Tyler + Edward
From the first time we met Tyler and Ed at La Madeleine’s, we knew they were special. Tyler has a sincerity and depth that comes from the love and protection that her [adopted] father and mother surrounded her childhood with.
One of our favorite moments of the day was the first look with her father. Quickly joined by her mother and grandmother for an exchanging of gifts, this moment was completely packed with emotions… tears, laughter and love!
Ed has a light-heartedness that can be seen with his playful smirks and his “whatever she wants” theme. But we were blown away at the ceremony when he poured out his heart with vows that were packed with care and thoughtfulness.
So, rain, rain go away… but if you don’t, you won’t ruin Tyler and Edward’s wedding day! While the rain brought the first look with her father indoors and the ceremony under a tent, nothing could detract from the special moments of their day.
